The reason is that people just love to eat and it is essential to get some form of food to live. Most people think that they got the skills to prepare a nice meal, but a real restaurateur should consider what other people might eat and not just their own taste.
Everyone has their own special recipe that their family and friends love and request each time there is a gathering so it goes to show that even an ordinary person have the capability of running a popular restaurant because they already have their own followers. This is what people can expect in the new reality TV show “America’s Next Great Restaurant”, where ordinary people compete to build the next big restaurant.
This show was presented by Gordon Ramsay, the same guy responsible for the success of cooking competition shows “MasterChef”, “Kitchen Nightmares” and “Hell’s Kitchen”. What sets this show apart is that it features ordinary people and not those who are already in the cooking business. There are housewives, accountants and even underemployed who know that they got what it takes to run a hit restaurant. The contestants need to impress the judges of the show and they are renowned chef Bobby Flay, Curtis Stone, Lorena Garcia and Steve Ellis of Chipotle Mexican Grill.
What is great about “America’s Next Great Restaurant” is that there are no losers in this show because even though they lost they got good advice from the judges. The judges also promised the winner of the contest enough capital to open their own restaurant in main cities in the U.S. including New York, Hollywood and Minneapolis.
The show is a reality check to all contestants that it is not that easy to run your own business because there are lots of stuff to consider such as the concept, menu, marketing and preparation of the food every day. NBC’s “America’s Next Great Restaurant” premieres on Sunday, March 6.
