A Chat with Oscar Hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway

Looking really calm and relaxed are Oscar Hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway considering that it would be their first time to host the prestigious Academy Awards, which will be broadcast live on Sunday, February 27 on ABC.
American actress Anne Hathaway would be the youngest host ever at age 28 while 32-year-old actor James Franco is nominated for an Oscar for role in the film “127 Hours”.
In a recent interview, the two were caught joking with each other and even starting to create rumors with Franco saying that they were dating. The two took a break from their rehearsals to answer a few questions and gave out hints on what the audience can expect in the show.
The writers of the show gave them a celebrity nickname, which is “Francaway” just like they did to Brangelina also known as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Hathaway was asked who they are rooting for on Oscars Night, but she said that the producers asked them to refrain from doing that. She said that even Franco is not allowed to root for himself. Franco said: “Yeah, screw that guy.” He added that he will just tweet during the show.
The chemistry is present between the two actors even if they have never worked together before. Hathaway admitted that she have been thinking of making a chemistry with Franco for years and now this came true. She said that she had learned a lot from her co-host and made her ponder about a lot of things like what it meant to be as an actor and an artist. Hathaway also added that Franco has a great mind and does not allow anything to be conventional or a cliché.
Hathaway revealed that Franco is not affected by the pressure of the Academy Awards with him saying that he is not like former hosts Chris Rock or Billy Crystal. Franco said that he can try anything without worried about getting a high expectation since no one cares if he is great or not.
Hathaway and Franco are both excited to host the Oscars. Franco revealed that he moved to Los Angeles same time the Oscars moved to Kodak Theater, which was ten years ago. He said that he would always get stuck in traffic during the Oscars Night and now he is the host of the show which amazes him. Hathaway said that she was the luckiest girl in the world to be chosen as the host of the show and very grateful for the opportunity.

Poor Anne Hathaway. Her perkiness clouldn't cover up for James Franco's lack of skills.

At least Anne tried. I couldn't say the same for James Franco.

I think the failure of the Oscars this year was largely ue to poor script writig as much as Anne and James were not really prepared to host.

It was very painful to watch them. Last year when Anne Hathaway danced with Hugh Jackman in the Oscar opening, I thought it would be as thrilling.

Well, that's what the Oscars get for gambling too much on young talent. They weren't prepared.

Since I assume the duo will not be finding hosting jobs, I am hoping to see them in a movie together.

He's supposed to be a quirky but talented actor. Too bad if all the talent will go to waste.

I think the red carpet thing is getting more of being the highlight rather than the show itself.
