Andre Holland joins NBC’s White House Comedy Pilot ‘1600 Penn’

Andre Holland will now be seen in the White House.

He is known for his work as the Friends With Benefits actor. He recently joined the cast of NBC’s single-camera pilot ‘1600 Penn.’ This comedy pilot revolves around a dysfunctional first family whose out-of-control oldest son, whose role will be played by Josh Gad), returns home and becomes not only the biggest liability of the first family, but also the glue that jeeps everyone together.

Holland will be playing the role of White House Press Secretary Marshall Malloy. His co-stars include Josh Gad and Gad’s fictional overachieving sister Brittany Snow along with Bill Pullman who will be playing the role of the president in the Twentieth Century Fox TV project.

Josh Gad, Modern Family director Jason Winer, and former Barack Obama speechwriter Jonathan Lovett will be working as writers and executive producers for the project. Winer will also take the charge of the director of the pilot.

Holland, who recently guested on USA’s Burn Notice, is repped by Paradigm and Brookside Artist Management.
