Ashley Simpson Wentz is going through a hard emotional phase as she filed for divorce from her less than three years old husband Pete Wentz. Simpson is 26 years old and she was dating with Pete Wentz in the year 2006. After two years of casual love relationship, they got engaged in April 2008 and Ashley married Pete after a month of their engagement. Ashley’s father Joe Simpson was the one to officiate marriage ceremony between the two. Soon after their marriage, Ashley declared that she is going to be a mother.
The child of Pete Wentz and Ashley Simpson is two years old now and his name is Bronx Mowgli. Recently, Simpson and Pete were facing some stern difficulties in their married life. In a joint statement through a rep, the couple said, “After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce.” The statement further said, “We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives.”
Ashley filed divorced paper in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday. Her reason for seeking divorce as mentioned in papers is “irreconcilable differences.” Ashley is looking for joint legal custody with primary physical custody of their child to her. Ashley has also demanded for spousal support. According to sources, the date for annulment of their married relationship is still “to be determined.”
