Blake Hood joins CBS’ Young and the Restless

CBS has decided to take on the villain of 90210 for the cast of their series Young and the Restless.

Blake Hood has signed a deal to appear as a series regular in the long-running soap opera.

Blake Hood will be playing the role of Kyle Jenkins Abbott, the son of Jack Abbott, whose role is being played by Peter Bergman, and the late Diane Jenkins (Maura West played this role). Blake will make his debut on the No. 1 daytime drama on April 27.

Initially, it was believed that Kyle is the child of Victor Newman, whose role has been played by Eric Braeden, but later it was revealed that he was Jack’s son following which a custody battle ensued. After the demise of his mother,

Kyle suffered problems with anger towards his father and eventually departed for boarding school. It’s unclear which family he’ll return home to when he arrives in Genoa City.

On 90210, Hood played Mark Driscoll for an arc during the CW series’ second season. He has also worked for Easy A and episodes of 2 Broke Girls and Desperate Housewives.
