Britney Spears turns down $10 million offer of The X Factor

$10 million is a huge amount but maybe it is not enough to convince Britney Spears. The pop diva has turned down the eight-figure offer to be a judge on The X Factor and according to the sources, she wants…double!

The show has been trying to woo Spears for the gig after both Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger were removed from the judge panel of The X Factor.
Other popular musicians who have been linked to the position for the show are Janet Jackson, who has already declined, LeAnn Rimes and Avril Lavigne.

Spears has The X Factor management and FOX over a barrel. Jackson has already passed over the gig and the singing competition may not afford to have many more high-profile rejections. The show has a stiff competition and it is behind the other music competition shows American Idol and The Voice.

There are possibilities that Spears and the management of The X Factor may split the differences but if they fail, The X Factor will have to go for other option but it will further weaken the position of the show.

Sure $10 million is a lot for Spears to leave on the table. But it’s also important to note that her net worth is estimated at $155 million, so it’s not the end of the world. She’s also not short on options, including a reported ongoing Las Vegas gig.
