Catherine McPhee Loves New York

The actress of Smash has seen a season full of emotional chaos with ruthless ambition and now, she is ready to get started for what’s next.

During an interview, the actress said, “We had such an incredible time on the first season that I can only hope for [season 2] to be as enjoyable as the firs. The show has made some creative changes, so I think there will be some new characters and interesting new storylines.”

In its debut season, Smash enjoyed some popular guest stars on its cast and McPhee says that she had her favorite which includes Bernadette Peters as she said, It was amazing to meet her and work with her!” She also enjoyed working with Uma Thurman, as she said, I love her! She has a really funny and dry sense of humor.”

While starring as the main lead of NBC drama Smash, McPhee was required to live and work in New York City. Recently, she admitted that she loved the city and she’s become “obsessed” with the city.

McPhee is Los Angeles native. She said, “It took me some time to get used to living here, but after about eight months, I came around. Now I never want to leave. I get so inspired by all the things I see in the city – the fashion, the theater, the art.”

McPhee has bagged other projects too and her latest is her partnership with Tide for “My Story, Our Flag,” which is a group that celebrates American patriotic feelings leading up to the Olympic Games of 2012.

“I am incredibly grateful that I am able to wake up every morning and go to a job that I love to do,” she said. “When I look at our flag, I think of opportunity and freedom.”
