Comedy Pilot 'Go On' Gets Series Order at NBCSunday, April 22, 2012
The struggling network NBC has given its first pilot order of the year 2012-2013. This comedy series Go On will bring Friends star Matthew Perry back to the fold of NBC where he attained the stardom. NBC network has ordered to series the single-camera project Go On from Friends and Joey writer Scott Silveri which will be produced by Universal Television. Todd Holland will be the executive producer of this series which will also be directed by him. This comedy series revolves around an irreverent yet attractive sportscaster whose role will be played by Perry. As he tried to move on from loss, he attains solace from the members of his mandatory group-therapy sessions. The female lead Anne, will be played by Julie White of Transformers fame. Her role will be of a woman stuck in the anger stage of grief. Suzy Nakamura will be the co-star. Matthew Perry played the role of Chandler on Friends for all its 10 seasons. He also starred last year on ABC’s Mr. Sunshine however that series by cancelled after its first season. The actor recently has also booked a multiepisode turn on CBS’ The Good Wife on which he will be playing the role of a charming attorney.
