Grimm Renewed for Second Season

NBC has decided to renew Grimm for a second season.

This freshman fantasy pilot proved to be successful on Friday nights for the network as it averaged a 1.5 rating in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-to-49 demographic and 4.8 million total viewers.

This fantasy drama tells a fairy tale twist and it has been produced by scribes of Buffy, David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf. This show has proved to be a steady performer for the network against established genre fare Fringe (Fox) and Supernatural (The CW) in the 9 p.m. time slot.

Grimm has been penned by Akela Cooper. He informed about the second season of
Grimm through his tweet saying, “Just heard the good news: #GRIMM IS GETTING A SECOND SEASON!! ... Walk into the office this morning & our showrunners David Greenwalt & Jim Kouf tell me the good news: #Grimm is picked up 4 a second season!”

NBC picked up the series, starring David Giuntoli, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee and Russell Hornsby, for a full season in November.
