Gugu Mbatha-Raw Cast Opposite Kiefer Sutherland

Gugu Mbatha-Raw, the British actress has been cast opposite Kiefer Sutherland in Touch, the Fox’s Drama pilot.

Tim Kring of the fame of Heroes has written this project whose story revolves round a father whose role is played by Sutherland and his autistic son who cannot speak. However, his son is gifted and he can predict events before they happen.

Mbatha-Raw will play the role of a social worker assisting the child and family and accessing the living conditions of Sutherland’s son. David Mazouz of the fame of Amish Grace will be playing the role of son and Danny Glover will play the role of his teacher.

Production of this series was stalled because the former 24 star was busy in a
Broadway revival of Jason Miller’s That Championship Season. Predicting the strength of the script and Sutherland’s star power, it can be said that this series will be a sure-thing for Fox’s midseason schedule.

Mbatha-Raw is popularly known for her recent work on J.J Abrams’ NBC drama Undercovers.
