HBO Cancels Bored to Death

As HBO cancelled its comedy series Bored To Death which was half-an-hour comedy series running since last three years, the creator of the series Jonathan Ames invited viewers to enjoy and celebrate the three year run of the comedy series with a toast. On Tuesday, Ames told The Gothamist, “I invite all fans of Bored to Death to come to the Brooklyn Inn tomorrow night, Wednesday, and I’ll buy you a drink.”

“John Hodgman will be joining me and perhaps other local New York City actors from the show will be there, and we can all toast Bored to Death and a completely loony and improbably three-year run,” he continued.

Gothamist notes that the celebration is expected to begin around 10 p.m.

Bored to Death premiered on HBO on Sept. 20, 2009, starring Jason Schwartzman as a fictional version of Ames. Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis also starred as friends of the Ames character. A third season of the series debuted on Oct. 10, 2011.
