James Van Der Beek Excited about his new role as Beek Jeans for Apt 23

James Van Der Beek wants audiences to feel his role.

He is the former Dowson’s Creek star and now he is playing a heightened version of his own self in ABC’s upcoming comedy Don’t Trust the B——in Apt 23. He decided to turn into a spokesman for Beek Jeans, his fictional persona’s new endeavor.

The showrunners of this comedy are Nahnatchka Khan and David Walkers. The recently released new promo of this series is one of many comedic references that will be presented on the series. Other stars of this series are David Walker as June, a role of a fresh-off-the-turnip truck New Yorker who moves in with Chloe—the ‘bitch’ from the title. The role of Chloe will be played by Krysten Ritter.

This pilot has already been released online earlier this week. In the promo, Van Der Beek references an energy drink commercial which was ultimately chosen by the production to be shot and turned into the end tag that has been featured in the episode.

Van Der Beek said, “I have my own line of jeans, there’s a sex tape at one point. Every week it’s something crazier. Nahsh and I are always going back and forth and riffing on how would this guy act in this situation.”
