Jim Carrey’s daughter out of American Idol

It seemed as if it was a Hollywood week on American Idol. On Wednesday’s episode, there were more than 300 singers who arrived in Los Angeles in a hope
to make their dream come true./ Each contestant performed on a beautiful song of their choice while the judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, and Randy Jackson took their notes. The judges offered very little feedback however; they informed whether a contestant is still in the competition or out.

Many of the standouts from the auditions are still in the race and will compete again on next Wednesday but not all. Many of them are already out of the race including Jim Carrey’s daughter Jane Carrey as she was sent back home.

Carrey performed “Lookin’ Out My Backdoor” by Creedence Clearwater Revival. “I freaked out when I was there so I was really, really shaky. I know I can do way better than that and so I’m really disappointed in myself,” she said before calling her father to break the bad news.

“I talked to my dad and he was really comforting and he said, ‘I’ve been said no to a bunch of times,’ and it worked out well for him in the end so hopefully I have a shot.”
