The actress will appear as a guest star in ABC’s pilot Scruples where she will be playing the role of an designer named Valentine. She will have an option to become a regular if the show goes to a series. This show is based on the best-selling 1978 book.

The story of Scruples revolves around a rich and powerful clothes designer in a world of revenge, sex and scandal. This pilot is from Flame Ventures in association with Warner Bros. TV.

Bob Brush and Mel Harris are set to write the pilot and they will also be the executive producer of the pilot along with Tony Krantz, Annette Savitch and Natalie Portman. This pilot will be directed by Michael Sucsy.

Pan Am is suffering a bad time as its rating nosedived on ABC. Vanasse plays the role of a French flight attendant in the heavily hyped airline drama. She caused a stir about the show’s status when she prematurely tweeted, “Well, we received THE call, #PanAm is only coming back for one more episode after Christmas. But up to the end, we’ll give it our all!”

While the series hasn’t been cancelled yet, it is not difficult to guess that it won’t see a second season. Still, Vanasse’s Scruples casting is in second position to her role on Pan Am.
