Kyra Sedgwick snapped at Adrian Lyne During 'Flashdance' AuditionThursday, May 31, 2012
Kyra Sedgwick is known for her work as the strong-willed and vocal Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on TNT’s The Closer for seven seasons. Recently, she revealed that she actually enjoyed such vocal life when she was a newcomer actress. Recently, she was asked in an interview about her scariest moment, whether that be a challenging role, a scary audition or a nerve-wrecking scene. Sedgwick went into her past to dig the story about her audition for the 1983 film Flashdance. “My agent told me I was supposed to wear a leotard, heels and no tights,” she said. “I had such bigger balls back in those days. I thought, ‘I’m not wearing a leotard. Instead, I’ll wear a little miniskirt and high heels.’” However, she didn’t stop showing her braveness at that. During the actual audition, director Adrian Lyne’s phone rang, and he picked it up. “I turned to him and said, You’re not going to answer that phone call. I’m auditioning for you,’” Sedgwick said. “Today, I don’t think I would ever do that.” Obviously, she didn’t get that role. However, she succeeded in winning a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010 for her work on The Closer. Short link: http://www.platotv.tv/s/znzk Reply to the topicDelete this Comment? |
