Lorraine Toussaint to appear as guest star in Drop Dead Diva

Brooke Elliot, playing the role of Jane will go toe-to-toe with her legal mentor on the upcoming fourth season of Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva.

According to reports, Lorraine Toussaint will be guest starring on a July episode of the series as she will be playing the role of Jane’s former law professor, Gretchen Daily.

She will be appearing on episode 408 as the brilliant and intimidating law professor Daily invites her former student, Jane, and Grayson, whose role is being played by Jackson Hurst, to deliver a lecture in one of her classes at Stanford Law School. The attorney will be helping one of the students with a complicated case against a Silicon Valley company. On the other hand, the company will hire the best attorney they can find and that would be, Gretchen Daily.

Toussaint is 52 years old and she is known for playing the role of Captain Kate Perry on TNT’s Saving Grace. She also got fame for her roles on Law & Order, Friday Night Lights, Crossing Jordan and Any Day Now. Recently, she appeared as a guest star on The Finder and Grey’s Anatomy.

Toussaint joins already announced season four guest stars Kim Kardashian, Jake T. Austin, Patty Duke, Valerie Harper, Brandy Norwood, and Serena Williams, among others.
