Martin Lee Responds to Kathie Lee’s Gaffe Graciously

Martin Short can easily win the award for being the most gracious and Classiest Guy of this week in Hollywood.

The last Today Show was much buzzed about because of the gaffe in which Kathie Lee Gifford mistakenly asked about Short’s late wife. Recently, the actor responded to the gaffe and he responded very graciously.

During an interview, when he was asked about the Gaffe of Kathie Lee Gifford, he said, “I think that it’s live television and people make mistakes and there’s no ill will intended, and I think it’s nice to aspire to be that way.”

Gifford mistakenly had asked about the actor’s relationship with his wife. His wife died of ovarian cancer in 2010.

Kathie Lee Gifford is The Today host. Later on, after the show, she apologized for her gaffe publicly on air on Wednesday and also tweeted about it tweeting, “I send my sincerest apologies to @MartinShort and his family. He handled situation w/enormous grace and kindness and I’m so grateful.”
