Nicole Richie to Join Jessica Simpson on NBC's Fashion Star

Nicole Richie is going to work as a celebrity mentor on the new NBC series Fashion Star. She has been chosen aptly as she is a mom and a fashion designer too.

Nicole Richie will be joining Jessica Simpson, who has already announced her role on the upcoming show last month. In addition, menswear designer John Varvatos is also a team member while Elle Macpherson will be hosting the show.

Richie is 29 years old and she will work with aspiring fashion designers as they will contest against each other for winning a chance of a multi-million dollar contract so that they may attain an explosive start for their own brands.

Executive producer of the show is Ben Silverman. He said, “Jessica, Nicole,
John and Elle make the most exciting team we have ever worked with on a reality television show. We are thrilled to feature such an extraordinary group of mentors and designers.”

Richie has also launched her House of Harlow jewellery collection, in her style career along with footwear, eyewear and handbag lines. In addition, she has also launched ready-to-wear women’s collection and a Pea in Pod maternity line.
