Sarah Chalke on How to Live with Your Parents

Single mom Polly, whose role is being played by Sarah Chalke, is looking for a fresh start, and so she seeks assistance from her mother and father.

Chalke is known for her work on “Scrubs” and “Mad Love.” She plays a woman determined to be the “best single working mom in the universe” in the ABC series “How to Live With Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life),” This title obviously is the longest show title for this season. She tries to get support and a place to live with the help of her parents played by Elizabeth Perkins and Brad Garrett, but her mom and dad are pretty happy with their empty-nested life, and they aren’t ready to change their ways for Polly and her daughter, Natalie whose role is being played by Rachel Eggleston.

Chalke has got recognition for playing tightly wound characters while Perkins is trying to bring the magic of same self-centered vibe she did on “Weeds.”

Obviously, she wouldn’t be opting for similar nasty streak. Garrett, meanwhile, gets to work his deadpan in a single-camera comedy instead of playing to an audience a la “Everybody Loves Raymond.”

Other cast members of this pilot includes Orlando Jones, Jon Dore, and Rebecca Delgado Smith. The show is due to premiere in January 2013.
