Sofia Vergara makes an Impact on SNL

Sofia Vergara, the co-star of Modern Family hosted Saturday Night Live on April 7 for the first time and she succeeded in making an impact.

Vergara took the center stage to present her monologue while she was wearing a skin tight black strapless mini-dress that barely contained her enthusiasm which appeared to be over-flowing.

“This country welcomed me with open arms and pulled down pants,” quips Vergara in a monologue mostly about her Colombian roots, move to America and unmistakable good looks. Though she also got in some good-natured digs at her “Modern Family” cast mates.

“Growing up in Colombia, it was every girl’s dream to grow up and marry Al Bundy,” says Vergara, referring to her on-screen husband, Ed O’Neill. Though she also ribbed herself about her accent, saying it could make anything sound sexy. Words like “gonorrhea,” “Rick Santorum” and “New Jersey.” You may not agree by that.

“So,” she concludes, “Forgive me if you can not understand what I say and I will forgive you for staring at my chest all night.”
