Three more seasons for Keeping up with The Kardashians

According to an E! spokesperson, The reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians has been extended for three more years through season nine. So now there will be 12 seasons.

This agreement covers the entire family of Kardashains including Kim, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian Odom, Rob Kardashian, Bruce Jenner, Kris Jenner, and Kylie Jenner. The deal also extends the cable channel’s first look rights on all of the family’s non-scripted ideas, concepts and projects.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians has brought a continuously increasing success for E! since it was premiered in 2007 when the total viewership of E! was 898,000. Fast forward and continuous six seasons and last season’s September finale attained an amazing 3.3 million viewers. This reality show has also provided a platform to create a number of spinoffs such as Kourtney & Kim Take New York, Khloe & Lamer and Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami.

Ryan Seacrest Productions is responsible for this hit series for E!. Ryan Seacrest is yet to finalize his deal which will cover the next three years but it is expected that he will do so as part of an upcoming agreement with NBCUniversal.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians returns for season seven at 9 p.m. Sunday, May 20 on E!
