Orlando Jones and Wentworth Miller have been approached by ABC to play the lead role for pilot ‘Identity’. Sources have revealed that the new show is a procedural in a genre in which ABC haven’t got any major success till now.
The storyline of the new pilot involves a team of police officers trying to combat identity-related crimes. According to sources, the new pilot will revolve round “an elite police unit formed to combat the explosion of identity-related crime,” according to the logline.
John Glenn is the writer of this new ABC Studios drama and its executive producer is Deb Spera and Mark Gordon. Mark Gordon is working with ABC Studios since long. He is a part of the project of ABC’s ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Private Practice’. Spera and Gordon also collaborated while working on CBS’s ‘Criminal Minds’ and Lifetime’s ‘Army Wives’ as joint executive producers.
Jones is a veteran television performer and he has worked for multiple episode arcs for ‘Rules of Engagement’ and ‘Men in Trees.’ On the other hand, Wentworth Miller got success while working for ‘Prison Break’ aired by Fox. Miller is a graduate of Princeton University and he holds a BA in English Literature. He has also written a horror themes screenplay that was developed for Fox Searchlight.
