After the CW has experienced enough with all possible Supernatural things along with the blood feisty mysteries of The Vampire Diaries, they are now looking forward to take the path of the very popular genre of Zombies.
A script is being tried to develop a plot for two sisters who will face against each other in the similar manner of zombie uprising for ‘Awakening’, an hour long drama. Being a program of CW, viewers can expect the best possible zombies on the show.
The script writers of NBC’s ‘The Listener’ and Lifetime’s ‘Missing’, William Laurin and Glenn Davis have written the script for ‘Awakening’. The production company Reveille of ‘The Office’ and ‘Ugly Betty’ fame bought the script and then resold it to the CW and Warner Bros. TV.
Currently, Zombies are becoming more popular than Vampires amongst the TV viewers and hence this can be the nicest time for ‘Awakening’. ‘The Walking Dead’ which is AMC’s zombie based program has proved to be the most viewers’ grabber program for the network.
The idea of zombie vs. vampire is actually becoming popular and recently NBC is also developing a program whose title is Zombies vs. Vampires.
