Doctor Who (s06e01). Season 6, Episode 1 - Air Date: 08/10/1968
The Doctor, Jamie and their newfound companion Zoe materialises on Dulkis in hopes of getting some much needed rest and relaxation. However, they soon find that they are not the only extraterrestrial visitors to this peaceful world. Rago and Toba, two invaders belonging to a race known as the Dominators, have recently arrived on Dulkis via spaceship and proceeded to enslave much of the Dulcian population.
Using their robots the Quarks and slave workers, the Dominators proceed to bore holes into the surface of Dulkis, which they intend to use as a means of launching missiles into the planet's molten core. This will result in Dulkis transforming into a powerful source of radioactive material, which will provide much needed fuel for the Dominators' spacefleet.

While looking for their old friend Professor Travers, they find a teenage girl named Isobel Watkins living in his house. Her uncle Professor Watkins is a close friend of Travers and has recently gone missing. The Doctor agrees to investigate his disappearance and begins his search at the London office of International Electromatics, the world's foremost supplier of all kinds of electronic equipment. Once there, the Doctor's suspicion is aroused by the company's managing director, Tobias Vaughan.

The Doctor and Jamie are rescued from the clutches of Tobias Vaughan by soldiers assigned to the United Nation Intelligence Taskforce (UNIT), which is commanded by Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, an old friend from the Yeti incident in the London Underground. The newly promoted Brigadier informs the Doctor that both the British government and the United Nations share his suspicions about IE and are adamant to prevent Vaughan's plan, whatever it may be, from coming to fruition.

In spite of a total lack of evidence to that effect, the time travellers are not only court martialled but found guilty of espionage by the formidable General Smythe. The Doctor is sentenced to the fate reserved by such traitors and cowards: death by firing squad.

These soldiers are unaware that they are the pawns of an alien race known as the War Lords, one of whose leaders is the enigmatic War Chief. He is soon revealed to be a member of the Doctor's own race: the Time Lords.
